Always  Sharp is a privately held LLC owned by James Churchill Smith. Jim began  Always Sharp as a mobile sharpening service in 2002. Along with three  employees and his two sons, he provided services to supermarkets,  restaurants, veterinarians, pet groomers, tailors, and hair stylists. In  2004, Always Sharp's inventory and fleet was destroyed by a devastating  fire. After rebuilding, Jim took the research and theories he had  gained and started conducting research with supermarkets, universities  and private laboratories. In 2006, Jim reorganized the business to  include a team of professionals who were dedicated to transforming the  practices of supermarkets, restaurants and the medical industry (both  human and animal)

Jim's rich family history of  entrepreneurs and businessmen has been providing service dating back to  the late 1800's. Jim chose to carry on the family tradition in the  service industry when he started Always Sharp. With his knowledge and  expertise in sharpening, learned from his grandfather's family and his  experiences, Jim has placed himself in the forefront of a new and  specialized industry.
